Im a classically trained cellist having many years of experience in orchestral work. I was section leader for two years at music college in London, where I was studying performance. I hold four diplomas, Fellowship of London College of music, Licentiateship of LCM, Licentiate of Trinity College London (Teaching Diploma) and Associateship of LCM. I also received a WS Lloyd-Webber medal for performance.
I was peripatetic cello and double bass teacher for Derby and South Derbyshire between 1979-1991
Since then I have been self employed, teaching young people and adults alike. I play regularly with two string quartets for weddings, a chamber orchestra and also Nottingham Phil Orchestra. I have conducted large music centre orchestras and still teach privately. I enjoy playing for shows and weddings, performing in classic rock bands and church worship music. |
