After riffling through the orchestra, picking up pianos and trumpets and flutes, I settled on the cello at the relatively ripe age of 18. Now a couple of years have passed, I now work on Bach suites and Brahms, and play bits and pieces of the great concertos. I'm categorically opposed to musical grading when the goal is personal satisfaction, so my qualifications will always be nil. Currently self-taught, I initially studied under Jarina Shoykow of Melbourne, who has twice received national recognition for her abilities in her homeland, Bulgaria. |
