Ms. Mikelson is a cellist with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Mulberry Street String Quartet. She is regularly engaged by the National Philharmonic at Strathmore Hall.

An avid chamber musician, Ms. Mikelson's venues have included the Kennedy Center, the Walters Art Gallery, the Peabody Library, Heinz Hall, and the American Cathedral in Paris, France. Catherine has performed with the National Chamber Players and with members of Alarm Will Sound.

Ms. Mikelson holds a BM from the Peabody Conservatory and an MM from Carnegie Mellon University. Her principal teachers have included David Hardy and James Lee.
