ADRIANNA KHOO is exploring her family's roots in Hong Kong, where she has performed with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Locally, she has performed rock, jazz and classical music at the Beijing Forbidden City Hall, Hong Kong Fringe Club, Visage One, and the Sheung Wan Civic Center. She plays with musicians for recordings and live performance at RED CELLO (www.RED-CELLO.com)

With a passion for teaching, Adrianna is pioneering China's Suzuki Method Cello Program at KinderU Suzuki Music Academy; the first Suzuki Method school in the region. Adrianna also serves as a coach for the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra.

Adrianna's passion for indie folk rock and jazz has led her to create independent rock artist forums in Boston, where she performed her original cello/guitar/voice compositions. Other projects have involved writing and recording for artists' albums and film scores - including a Sundance Film Festival official selection, and Chris Phillips' newest album- "Giving the Chase." Collaborating with Tribeca Performing Arts Center Artist in Residence, Daniel Jose Older, Adrianna has worked with dancers in multimedia productions at the Arts Center in NYC and at Brooklyn Museum's First Saturday performances. Other shows with Latin jazz band, Ghost Star, have included performances at venues such as the 169 Bar and the SESAC showcase at the Rockwood Music Hall.

As a classical musician, solo and chamber music highlights include winning performance opportunities through the International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, The Prize of the City of Vienna, the Berkeley Noon Concert Series and the Sacramento Youth Symphony Concerto Competition. Adrianna served as principal cellist of the University of Southern California Community and Sacramento Youth symphonies. She has played with the New England Philharmonic and Plymouth symphonies in Massachusetts and the Richmond County Orchestra in New York.

Adrianna was a graduate scholarship student of Grammy nominated cellist, Terry King at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. with highest honors in English from the University of California Berkeley and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California, where she earned scholarships to write in Los Angeles and Cape Town, South Africa. Adrianna was formerly a litigation reporter at the Los Angeles Daily Journal and a Public Relations Specialist for the National I Have a Dream Foundation in New York.
