Additional Info: Catherine is a professional music teacher and runs Hampstead Music School in North London. She teaches piano, cello and music theory from beginner to expert level. Catherine is known in the music teaching industry for her “patience, hard work and result-driven” attitude.
With over 10 years of teaching, Catherine specialises in preparing students in accordance with syllabuses as set out by ABRSM and Trinity grade exams. She also teaches talented young musicians in preparation for their 11+ entrance exam music auditions and other music competitions.
Catherine recognises that everyone learns at a different pace and some are more responsive to different ways of teaching. She tailors her lessons to that particular student’s learning style, whether it be through the Suzuki Method, Kodaly Method or other traditional teaching methods. She strives to have an excellent balance between theory based learning and practical learning.
Piano, cello and music theory lessons are given across London including Swiss Cottage, Camden, Golders Green, St John's Wood, Belsize Park, Highgate, St.John's Wood, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Marylebone, Baker Street and South Kensington.

Catherine is a seasoned performer and has performed in venues including the Wigmore Hall, St.James's Piccadilly, St.Martin-in-the-Fields, the Royal Opera House and the South Bank Centre.
She regularly participates in international music festivals and summer academies such as the Courchevel Summer Academy, the European Music Academy Bonn, Naples International Chamber Music Festival, the Russian Music Festival, the Thuringen Summer Academy, Bruges Academy and the Lenk Summer Academy.

Catherine has recently been selected by Making Music Concert Promoters' Group for inclusion in their Selected Artists Brochure, 2016.

Her eclectic performing style, which follows a mix of German, Russian and French tradition, has been crafted by studying with many of today's leading cellists.
Catherine studied at the Purcell School with full scholarship before going to Germany to study the Music Diploma programme. A scholarship from the St.Albanstift supported her studies at the City of Basel Music Academy in Switzerland where she gained a Bachelor of Music degree.
